This is a first rate town
But all you ever notice
Are the ways it’s stretched to far
And it has been knocked down
But some of us are still
Left here between the scars
when you look around
All you ever notice is
That you can not see the stars
This is a first rate town, first rate town you know
You just can’t see very far
When the last door closed
You packed your clothes
And went back to Montreal
Said it was colder there
A chill hangs into the air
It helps you forget it all
You left and empty bookshelf
That I did not fill till fall
This is a first rate town a first rate town you know
You just can’t see it at all
Well it will fade as all things must
I loved you but, you didn't love me enough
Winter comes, the car will rust
I'll start it up, then always run a little rough
This is a first rate town
And all you ever notice
Are the ways it's stretched too far
They keep the death rates down
It's colder than a winter
Spent in defrosting cars
We talked a lot of leaving
Didn't think you'd get that far
This is a first rate town a first rate town you know
You just can’t see very far

It's childhood. It's a beautiful soundtrack. It's nostalgia. It's still getting jumpscared by cave noises at 2AM, because you're still playing this damn game 10 years later. It's Minecraft! devin_s

I was hearing this over and over back in 2013, made me feel validated when I had depression and severe anxiety. You visiting my home country México for the VConcert event right after the album came out and hearing your music live was a dream come true, what are the odds. Thanks Daniel. zeoal

Found this through my poor Spotify trying desperately to find what I might like to listen to. Not at all my normal type of music but it actually made me stop and listen. Delightful from beginning to end. It's gone onto my DAP to become part of my normal rotation of music. vonvanna
